Hey everyone, I thought I would give you a little background about myself, Stephen Carhart – Manager here at ECB.


– many years ago, I graduated high school in Greenwood, SC.
– started Mt biking in college & started riding the Augusta (tower) trails & Modoc around 1994.
– cycled across America in summer of 1996 with PUSH America (People Understanding the Physically Handicapped).
– wrenched at the largest bike shop in GA. 1997;2000.
– raced in the Pro1,2 field for 5 years.
– lived in the Atlanta area for 20 years. moved back to Abbeville county in 2010.
– I was a Personal Trainer for 8 years – NASM & ACE certified.
-I coached many athletes and helped Jennifer win Silver at the Canadian national marathon.
– Ga state Track (velodrome) medalist – Bronze in match sprint
– I personally try each gel, to give you an honest review
– fastest century PR 4:15 – Covington, GA
– longest road ride in a day – 135 miles 
– stage winner & 3rd overall 2002 Winter Bike League in Athens, GA
– raced in several 6, 12, 24 hour Mt bike relay events
– I often “Pickup Campershell camp” at Mt biking destinations (Dahlonega GA, Pisgah, Jackrabbit, Tsali, etc).
– I have ridden most trails between Greenwood & Chattanooga
– coldest ride: 90 minutes in 28 degrees
– most miles in a year – over 9,000.
